Who says merfolk can't slither their bodies across the ground like snakes?

The card itself is quite useless, but i like the flavor text since in my opionion these "Elvish expression" paraphrases are rather funny to read.
The Seventh Edition card has also an interesting artwork, but how did this Merfolk guy manage to get into the forest, i wonder?

Some of the gayest art I've seen on a magic card.

The art features an awful lot of folk, and not much tree.

This is the skinniest tree I've ever seen. And why does his head look like a robot's?
