So a doomblade towards him would just cost {B}? Now we know why NOBODY PLAYS HIM!

Don't bother trying to use this one. Either your deck is built specifically for this one creature that you can only have 4 of, or your deck is an aggressive deck that uses overcosted giant growths like stonewood invocation. and adding this guy only makes it ever so marginally better. If so, might as well replace him with a more efficient beatstick. Really though, no matter what, you are setting yourself up for card disadvantage, I can just sudden death it for 2 or terror for 1.

Load him up with every aura you can, finish up by giving him shroud.

FIRST card to target him, Canopy Cover and then go nuts with the auras and equipments. although arguably not as fun to enchant than Aura Gnarlids

@littlebeast
An interesting thing to think about involving that sort of thing: People have already pointed out it's removal bait, so what if you use it in conjunction with Volrath's Shapeshifter?
Then, if they're using that Rite of Replication thing, they can replicate the Shapeshifter for 7 (or less, if you've got cost lowering going). Then discard something useful from your hand (My personal favorite is Mikaeus, the Unhallowed) and watch the fireworks.

Used in an Aura Gnarlid deck it could be pretty fun.
