One of the best things about him is that his Legendary drawback doesn't really matter all the much because he activates on entering the battlefield, so he'll enter and do his effect even if he's already out.

@guitarman71084: Yes, the spell Emrakul could be returned to your hand by this, Emrakul only has protection from colored spells when it's a permanent, not as a spell. Since returning a spell to your hand is different than countering, it would get around Emrakul's uncounterable ability too. See Emrakul's rulings about protection.

The permanent Emrakul can also be targeted by this. When Venser ETB he is a permanent, not a spell. Emrakul won't have protection from it. The same applies to emrakul's interaction with oblivion ring, see http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75842/28910957/?pg=last

Between Venser, Shaper Savant and Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir you have pretty much an ENTIRE Mono Blue Control deck ON STICKS. Oh, you want Ertai, Wizard Adept too? Well, FINE...just....FINE!
