step 1: pop out an 8/8 token to block the death toucher
step 2: block death toucher with token
step 3: deal damage to death toucher so it dies

Makes for a great combo with Marrow Chomper or Thunder-thrash Elder. My back-up back-up plan for my devour deck if my creatures cant get through.
I have this card in foil, but the set symbol is definitely not the elvish looking helmet from lorwyn. its some sort of shooting star with one of the streaks arched behind it. anyone know whats up with that? its not shown above and i havent seen it anywhere else. i know its not the beatdown box set symbol but looks kinda like it.

I have a question. Lifelink says "Whenever this creature deals damage you gain that much life." So since its ability specifically says "Brion Soutarm deals damage equal to the sacrificed creatures power to target player." Wouldnt you gain the life because Brion Soutarm is technically inflicting the damage? If so it suprises me nobody has said anything about it.
