You guys don't play limited at all, do you? This guy is an incredible mana fixer in sealed and draft, and not bad to hardcast either.

From my point of view this is a MOUNTAIN OR SWAMP tutor attached to something you can call a permanent.
If you want mana fixing get a "basiclandcycling" instead.
If you want a late game creature, get any red/black fattie better than this; be limited or not, you will probably find one easily.

The problem is there are better ways to accel mana than simply fetch land, at which point a 6 mana creature that is basically a lightning elemental isn't what you want.

I'm confused by the comments, did no one see living end cascade? The deck was beautiful and this card was a staple. It fixed and promised the mana the deck needed, plus once they cascaded into living end, he came out with the rest of the cyclers and pounded some face. I like the design, I think people are being too critical without seeing extraneous possibilities.

In a black deck, it is never bad to put a creature in a graveyard. Yeah there are beter creatures to reanimate but they usualy don't put themselves into the graveyrd, and it can always be used to tutor the lands and bump up other creatures that live off creatures in graveyards. Tutoring lands includes thining out your deck which is always a good thing. Also as said before, with living end deck its high enough to not be cascaded before living end and bringing out a 5/1 with hase is never bad when they don't have a chance to respond and probably have no blockers (unless they are sacing creatures themselves). Every card has a use, even defensive stance, even if it is just usualy outclassed by other cards.
