In the shadowmoor block, why should the order of your graveyard even matter?

There should be a rule around here that no one can ever mention a combo that involves Isochron Scepter. Seriously, that would be like Napoleon Hill's book "Think and Grow Rich" telling you that the way to financial success is simply to win the lottery.

Cool if you have way to exile cards from your graveyard to get rid of the random part.

A card that helps mono-red return its used spells to your hand is good in my book, especially in early turns after Lightning Bolting threats, or your enemy with nothing else in the grave. And for such a cheap cost, it's quite a value. This also can help you get around auras being destroyed, creatures dying, losing early land to discard...all in all this is a great card, especially in its colors.

I like this one in limited/cube especially. Very flexible cost. Really good in the early game for burn cards (when it's not so random) and in the late game to maybe get back a fatty. It couldn't cost any less, so it's pretty reasonable.

> sac three blood pets
> buried alive -> three nether shadows
> fossil find the pets over the spirits so they can trigger next upkeep
> you have now searched your library for three 1/1s with haste for the low low cost of.... er.... {2}{B}. which is cheaper than {B}{B}{B}{B}{B}{B}, but not really by much. and you could always just lose the spirits to fossil find, which is kinda lame.
not to mention you'd need to draw three blood pets and buried alive. but hey, maybe you're running demonic tutor or something. i would use that for something better but, heh.
