I'm not really understanding why the hype over this card, its like an angel card but technically weaker.. all it does is get really big if you have a lot of life. There are many easy ways to get really big creatures that don't revolve around you trying to gain back lots of life, and there are better flyers at 5 mana that have lifelink, primarily angels. The idea as I see it is to play this card with edge of divinity, making it a 7/7, but that seems awfully lack luster compared to an angel or a flameblast dragon.

It also gets +X/+X and hexproof, where X is the number of Diregraf Captains you control.

i use this as my beatstick in a deck with the card"Light from within" making it a 9/9 lifelink straight away you hit 25 life very quick.can you say 13/13 flying lifelink? oh you give up....

I will take this over Demigod, simply because a single DoP rocks a deck, and I have two. Without four Demigods then not taking full advantage of it.

I've never had the desire to play a W/B deck, though this guys usable in mono-colored decks as well.. but the artwork alone on these W/B cards is seriously tempting me to make one anyway!

my favorite card. one of my first favorite rares, next to Kokusho (i started playing at the Shadowmoor Block) and was in my first really good deck (b/w lifedrain)

Anyone who questions the power of this card should play against my amazing life gain deck. He's ALWAYS an 8/8 and can make sure you stay over 25 with 8 power lifelink
