It's going to do something to the board state 99% of the time. 4 mana, kill one, maybe 2 creatures is pretty much fine. Copying this can easily kill 3 creatures, lets say your opponent has a 2/3, a 4/4, and a 5/6. Copying this kills all of them.

I once made Akroma, Angel of Fury and Bladewing the Risen kill each other with this. Just had to cast some pump spell on Bladewing first. My opponent was shocked, didn't see it coming. 4/5.

Weird question, if someone cast Ego Erasure, could two creatures without creature types be selected with this spell? I mean, they don't share any creature types... but they also don't have any..
