So I had a black/red goblin deck, it was based around killing goblins and doing direct damage before even having to attack. But it got stale, I was getting bored and contemplating making it a straight up swarm. Then I pulled Lightning Crafter from a pack and was all "Nevermind".

Tar Pitcher on steroids = Badass

This would have been good if it only targeted creatures.
But that wasn't good enough; they made it a straight up Lightning Bolt on a stick.
Awesome.

Drop dragon fodder and you can play this as well as goblin mob, build up a swarm as well as do direct damage :D

Has anyone contemplated putting Crab Umbra this guy? Seems like a mighty fine move to me. I think the aura will work very well with this card, letting it untap for three mana to lob another Lightning Bolt at whatever you might desire, all while protecting it from your opponent's bolts and pesky "Destroy" effects.

this is a good card and all but there are better cards such as spikeshot goblin. spikeshot goblin can get stronger and do is power to creature or player

A great example of Raw Power. He is difficult to just incorporate in a deck though, because of the creature type requirement. I am very thankful that he has the option of two creature types, both of which contain some very good creatures within those types. This is indeed a very good addition to my EDH deck.

It's like upgrading your goblin sharpshooter with a lightning bolt, minus the reflexes.

Play this with mogg war marshal in your goblin deck or elvish visionary/eternal witness in your shaman deck.
