Simply put, it is the best counterspell ever printed. Better than Mana Drain, Arcane Denial, or Counterspell. In Type 1, if your opponent has at least 2 cards in hand, you must assume he has a FoW and a blue card.

Quite possibly my fav card. I got 4 of these back in the day when they were new, and always marvel at how "safe" I feel with one in my hand. It's a saftey net in a game where things can turn ugly in the blink of an eye. 5/5

People calling for this to be banned 1) Don't play much legacy 2) Don't understand what would happen if it was. Combo decks that win in one or two turns (like Spanish Inquisition) would be everywhere and there would be no way to stop them. If this were banned in Legacy, Legacy would be unplayable because whoever went first would win.
