this can get rid of Emrakul, the Aeons Torn and Iona, Shield of Emeria
Comparable to Doom Blade, but not necessarily better

Remember, this card was released before Doom Blade, so if you find yourself thrust back in time before the summer of 2009, this is your card. Plus works well with Esper and metalcraft. 4*

I wish it could destroy black creatures. Oh well, still a cool card. If only the white member of the cycle had as much to contribute as this one...

nice turn one play because then your friends annoying blue deck can't counterspell it once it's out

I keep on wanting to use this card and always end up cutting it from a final build eventually. It's just not that good.

Great card, great effect and cheap cost...the setback is, it doesnt prevent regeneration and it doesnt kill black creatures... still a good removal thingy...

Kind of a useless Doom Blade unless you have some ulterior use for it.

Hmm... Doomblade on a... Capsule. Maybe one could use it with Lodestone Golem, or some other artifact based card... It bears thinking about, anyway.

I see that people think this can destroy iona and emrakul, my question about this is the fact that it's a colored spell, so how does it destroy those 2, or how can it even be played when iona is out. some help with that would be nice.
That aside, this is a pretty decent card, I would heavily consider running it if I didn't always play a friend whose decks are almost always black.
