i disagree with kuzimu, first play oblivion ring, with the first ability on the stack play Venser to return the O ring and the second effect wont work making the removed card completely removed. But i cant think of an easier way to do this.

dude did you just played Nicol Bolas... ok... you must spent over 20 dollars on that card. sure i will play Oblivion Ring targeting Nicol Bolas oh and by the way i only spent 0.85 cents. you get my point guys. This card rocks so useful.

@ergonomicQ: sadly Sigil of the Empty Throne doesn't give you angels for having enchantments coming into play under your control, but when you play an enchantment. You would only get 3 angels out of it and be wasting your second Oblivion Ring.

This card won 4 games for me in my Shards draft yesterday. Best removal in the set.

In my early noob days I was still running Pacifisms. I looked at my little box of cards and saw a couple of these and thought "This thing is really good compared to Pacifism". I replaced them instantly. Sometimes when I want to launch my Scourglass and I have Tezzeret the Seeker out I cast this targeting him and then launch the Scourglass. It kills it and Tezzeret comes back unharmed. 4.5*

strangely enough i cut one of these for a faith's fetters in my edh deck, because with targeted enchantment removal the difference doesn't matter and since board wipes are so common it is likely that if the enchantment is removed after a board wipe the thing will come back, as opposed to dead along with the others. I love this card in 60 and limited, but in edh its drawback is much more relevant.
