Not the worst burn spell ever - if you're smart about it, it's always going to be 6 damage (against a blue deck just cast it when they've tapped out; they have to pay the mana *before* their upkeep, and the first time they can do so in a turn is the upkeep - so obviously too late).
While you get more efficiency at the lower end of the spectrum with burn spells (like Lightning Bolt and Lava Spike dealing 3 damage for 1 mana, when you're getting up to values of 6 damage in a single card not many are this efficient.
