i use this with primal rage and either rafiq or madrush clops to hit pretty hard, he's pretty susceptible to removal, but thankfully he can't be doombladed so thats a plus. not sure of his viability in a tourney setting as i have been a casual player for about 10 years lol.

Unfortunately, even being 3 PT above the curve, a vanilla creature with a really restrictive mana cost is still a vanilla creature with a really restrictive mana cost.

I have probably read something like ten thousand card comments on this site over the years, and card one here has been graced with the most memorable comment quote of all:
Ach Hans, run! It's the Woo-Berg!
Classic. I was a little sad to see the Planechase reprint didn't quote Mode on this. Missed opportunity.

GlassJoeTheChamp: Then the only creatures that can't block him are the Eldrazi fatties. Hard to picture that...

@ Gelzo: That's not actually a bad idea to run him with Fist of Suns. In EDH running Fist of Suns means a huge priority is fixing mana. Once you've done that, if you don't have Fist, why not take advantage of cards that require fixed mana?

Probably the cheapest penalty-free 8/8 they have ever made.
