Hey, for 4, its a 3/3 trample flier. Not bad!

Its handy in that RG doesn't get too many fliers.

Flying should have been unconditional in my opionion.
Aside from that when disregarding colors, he might be better as A ssault Zepellid dependant on deck. If you're going to sac more than one creature you can convert your chump blockers into one big flampler, which isn't a bad trade actually. Could possibly have been slightly cheaper or stronger, but overall this card is still ok.
Plus, i love flavorwise related cards.

Would have really preferred this to have been the tri-color critter of Jund, rather than Sprouting Thrinax. Mainly 'cause I don't care for that freaking lizard.

Not really all that good, without sacrificing anything he's horrible, and even sacrificing 1 creature for a 3/3 flying trampler for 4 CMC isn't that great. 2.5/5.

good if you devour some creatures when its put into play.

I love the flavor of this card. A baby dragon just out of the roost that's not much, unless it eats something. If it does, it grows strong enough to fly and pack more punch.
Compared to Assault Zeppelin, neither blue nor red have good P/T to cmc like green does, so either are fair. There are better devouring creatures out there, but many take a few more turns to get big dragons out.

If cuteness could kill,... They should make that art a wallpaper, so that I could see this guy everyday.

This really should have been 3/3 by default. I tried it, but actually it doesn't have much use. 2.5/5
