Great card in a mono green deck in a format where WotC is really pushing hard on the creature removal. This card creates several threats that a single Lightning Bolt, Terminate or Doom Blade can't deal with and is the perfect card to follow a Day of Judgment or Planar Cleansing. It's expensive and casting it with non-forest mana acceleration makes it much worse, but when you can get 5+ forests while casting this it becomes a real threat. Combine with Oran-Rief, the Vastwood to give all your wolf tokens +1/+1. Blanchwood Armor, Overrun and Beastmaster Ascension are all great cards to play in a deck that runs lots of forests and this card.

5/5 run four in my green deck. not late game at all. pops around turn five(If you play green without mana-acceleration, your doing something wrong.) works perfectly Overrun and Gigantomancer

My favorite uncommon in M10. And my favorite reason to go mono Green.

The same deck that likes this, also likes Baru
For fun, compare to Nightmare:
1) Both have only a single colored mana
2) Both have "night" in the name
3) Both care about a specific basic land
