Has some great synergy with Chandra Ablaze and Pyromancer Ascension.

Yeah, this and Library of Leng are best buds. This card is also great for any sort of draw/discard punishment. Megrim is the obvious first choice. Personally, I think that Underworld Dreams is too expensive in a multicolor environment. I like to have Kederekt Parasite and Shocker on the field during the first couple of turns. If I weren't running on a budget, I'd throw in a Chains of Mephistopheles to ruin everyone's day.
What's not to like about this card at 1 mana? It can even get you out of a rut if you end up mana-screwed with one mountain.

Instrumental in my type 2 deck. Drop multiple Megrims/Liliana's caress, then punish them with 12-24 damage with this card.

Inquisition of Kozilek -> liliana's caress -> Megrim -> blightning + burning inquiry
My favorite card in my standard red/black discard deck. You're going to counter my 11-damage blightning? Then take 12 from my one-cost burning inquiry. Better target for a reverberate, too, in that your opponent doesn't need to have cards in hand for it to work.

Sangrophage + 4x Liliana's caress + an active Bloodchief Ascension on the field, then I played Burning Inquiry.
My computer lit-up like a slot machine with stackable triggers. :)
Another game. Turn five Down to one life, Opponent at 18 life.
I have 2x Howling Mine in play, 1x Liliana's Caress.
Opponent says "GG".
I draw 2x Lilliana's Caress and the 5th mana I need. Cast the 2x Caress's, and play the land and then final card in my hand, Burning Inquiry.
My turn to say "GG".

This is 6-12 damage on turn 3 in my discard deck. 12-18 on turn 4. All for 1 mana and 2x Liliana's Caress or 1x Liliana's Caress and 1x Megrim.

as a turn one way to fill the graveyard, this has combo potential with threshold and delve and reanimator strategies ala Careful Study. Playing this late game when you are holding only lands and/or less impactful cards lets you also gamble on trading up. Seems like grease in a deck designed with graveyard shenanigans in mind for sure.
