@ Bishop2010: I'm new myself but even I know that there are so many other things you can do with the 4 mana that it costs to field this card... Four Lightning Bolts or two Doom Blades, for example. For two less mana than the field and tap cost, you could put a Whispersilk Cloak on your heaviest hitter without having to pay 3 mana each turn you swing with it afterwards.
Even a card like Acolyte of Xathrid would at least let you equip it with a Quietus Spike.

Stop reprinting this. We all hate it.

Seven mana to do one damage? Why would I ever play this instead of say, a good card? I think it's uncommon so we don't get this instead of a Lightning Bolt.

Every edition it becomes less popular...This card aged VERY VERY poorly.

Do you think they're trying to troll us by reprinting this again?

'my masterpiece is complete- and so shall be my triumph'
- i guess they meant to put this in unhinged as a joke card

Nothing shows the effect of power creep clearer than the weakness of this card. It needs an upgrade... perhaps an 'Uber-Rod of Rampant Ruin'

The new flavor text is awesome, but I snort whenever I read it on such a terrible artifact.
"So shall be my triumph"?? Since when has ANYONE triumphed with this card?
