So now you can pretty much have TWELVE of these in a deck. I don't understand why they decided to print this. Maybe its purpose was to make white as a color even more obnoxious than it already was. Or maybe they were fresh out of ideas, whatever.

She is better than Soul Warden, not worse. Assuming you don't forget (your fault, not hers), it's good to be able to opt out of life gain, particularly if you want an infinite life combo and all the other components are mandatory, which would have caused the game to be a draw with Soul Warden.

How is this an improvement to Soul Warden? (learn to autocard) On this one, the ability is a may effect, not mandatory. That means I am no longer obligated to remind my opponent that they gain life. ( happens allllll the time.) Also, yeahhh MORE clicking on MTGO :\

It's worse, since you might actually forget to gain life, as opposed to the warden. And seriously, who casts false cure to make you lose 1 life?

I wouldn't say this card is strictly better, because no card is ever strictly better. How about Mindslaver? You're opponent chooses that you do not gain life. And obviously, you can forget it if it says may.

Worse than soul warden. I didn't even like soul warden. And actually I don't like lifegain in general. If a lifegain effect is part of a card I'd play anyway even without it, then yes. But not on a 1/1 dork.
