I always throw one or two in my draft decks if I'm going green, and it's saved my neck more than a few times. If you play it right, it works like a Nekrataal against any creature with 2 toughness and saves you from having to leave blockers open for a turn.
Obviously crap in any other format. A 2/2 for 4 would have been decent maybe.

1 cmc for the fog, 1 cmc for the surprise 2 damage to an attacker, and 3 cmc for a flashed 2/1. Seems legit.
