So underused. Draw 2 for 2 is really powerful, and the drawback is often as useful as the rest of the spell. Helps mold perfect hands. Instant speed would have broken this card in half.

I think people are missing the main point of this card. Its not just a decent draw spell, but one of the few ways you can put a card from your hand into your library and hopefully NOT draw that card the next turn.
If you use this to your advantage (say, shuffle a possible polymorph target into your library), you now have a very efficient card.

Its funny that it was printed in the same set as Emrakul, the Aeons Torn.

I like this way of card advantage.
It allows you to shuffle cards back that you could possibly only make use of while they are in your library.

By the way, is here anyone else that thinks of Lois Lowry's "The Giver" when sesing this card?

Solid, solid card. But I prefer Ponder or Preordain unless I'm playing Polymorph.

This card isn't a "modern Brainstorm". This card is a watered down Lat-Nam's Legacy. Why this card is rated higher than the superior original it's based on is beyond me. There are a couple of distinct differences: with Lat-Nam's Legacy, you have to shuffle a card from your hand into your library first, then draw two cards. Also, you draw the two cards at the beginning of the next turn's upkeep. However, this is offset by the fact that Lat-Nam's Legacy is an instant.

Being able to use the two mana at the end of the opponents turn to play the spell and then get that mana back when you begin your turn and possibly use it for the three cards you'll draw that turn (two cards during the upkeep for Lat-Nam's Legacy and one card for the draw step) is a far better advantage that you do not get with See Beyond; and getting the cards right after you play See Beyond doesn't make up for that loss of advantage.

The only reason to play See Beyond over Lat-Nam's Legacy is if you're playi... (see all)

Great with Dragonstorm decks. If you draw one of your dragons, just shuffle it back and get two cards.

It is a modern update of a Brainstorm. I'll still pick this over Divination.
