I lost track of the amount of times I was playing Magic Online in Zendikar block and my opponent has a creature out and I don't and they continuously tap their lands to try and cast this. Silly Rabbits.

Two bolts in one card, and even without landfall it's still got some use. And it's a common. Fantastic card.

this card even puts lightning bolt to shame.

This card is nuts. You'll almost always be casting it with landfall, so it's pretty much two lightning bolts strapped together.

love this card, playing a land is hardly a restriction (unless its on the opponents turn, and even then it is possible) during the turns its typically played. A lot of decks try to drop there mana creatures (or other utilities) fairly early, or if you hold off the early attackers are usually fairly week in toughness. And with a bolt, you have to chose, player, or creature, now, you don't need 2 cards to decide both.

I wonder if a deck consisting of just Bolt, Flame Slashes, Searing Blazes etc. would win against a "normal" deck. Overall it probably would have much better cost/damage ratio.

Is that a double-bolt for two mana?
Yes please.
For extra lulz, pop a Terramorphic Expanse or Evolving Wilds during your opponent's turn.

The thing that really makes this card shine is the damage-to-mana rato. i.e, lightning bolt is 3 to 1, gut shot is 1 to 1, as is lava axe. This card also has a ratio of 3 to 1, one of the highest in the game.
The only burn that does better in that regard is flame slash, but it's sorcery speed and only at creatures.

I run four in my burn deck. If I have it, I'll hold it until I get the land as well. Or occasionally I'll just hold a land for the sake of this one card. Love it!
