Why is this card rated so high? It sucks.

How many artifact spells are you seriously going to be casting each game? Even if you play this on turn 3, you'll get maybe 1 or 2 golems out of this some time down the road. It's just not good.

I actually devestated my friend the other night using this combined with Prototype Portal Within a few turns, I had a few Foundries in play which were pumping out a few golems every turn or 2.

It was fan-freakin' tastic. :)

Does anyone know if the Golem artifact creature tokens produced with this are subject to the copy spell effect of Precursor Golem?

IE Create a Golem token with Golem Foundary, cast Precursor Golem, then cast Giant and copy it onto all 4 of the Golems now on the field?

There's plenty of 0CMC artifacts out in Standard right now (Ornithopter, Memnite, Accorder's Shield, etc.) that can make this thing stupid really fast. I kind of want to play this with a lot of card draw (Wall of Omens, Sea Gate Oracle, etc.) to dig up these 0CMC artifacts and just flood the board with golems! :D

And then play Precursor Golem, cast Distortion Strike on any of your golems, and you've got yourself an unblockable army of golems.

Contagion Clasp it, I think.

The only other way that I've found to reliably activate this is... get this...
Razor Boomerang - the lamest card I know. I suppose a Semblance Anvil would take some of the mana cost for you, tho.

If you're going to run this in constructed, card draws won't hurt. Temple Bell will be your greatest ally.
