Its fairly obvious that this card is bad, so therefore I should have no reason to describe it in detail.

A 2/2 flyer for 4 is nothing special, but the tap to have a player lose 1 life is AMAZING.
1: Where the 2/2 flyer may not be able to attack due to whatever defenses a player may have, the activated ability cares not about such defences.
2: Since this is an activated ability, it can be done at any time.
3: Most importantly, life loss, unlike damage, CANNOT BE PREVENTED. Not by spells, not by abilities. That makes this VERY strong versus a protection or cleric deck, because they can't stop the life loss.
So it is expensive and somewhat weak, but life loss is an awesome mechanic.

If it were "Lose one life and you gain one life", it would be great, but this is still quite good, a nice steady damage source

@Qoulser: "Lose life" doesn't mean the same thing and "deals damage to," and Spirit Link (Which I assume you meant to say, as that Spirit Mantle would do nothing for this guy) counts damage. Not life loss.

Imps are good if you know how to play them. In a black and white deck, you attach spirit mantle to this and its amazing!!!!!!!!!

Try Goblin Fireslinger instead. I don't even care that your deck is mono-black, putting a couple of mountains and fireslingers in would still be better than this trash. And life loss instead of damage isn't enough to save this, either.
