I imagine it would be really fun to use this guy back in the day when he wouldn't have been outclassed by so many cards

This guy reminds me a ton of Pharoah Atem's dad when he used the Millenium Items the first time....anyone else watch the 7th Season of Yu-Gi-Oh?!

I've been using this guy as my commander for a few months now - I traded out Rith, the Awakener for him. He works differently than Rith. The old deck would generate tokens through some means, use Rith to make more, and eventually overwhelm, with a 6/6 flying commander as a backup. It was always just a better idea to go for the commander damage, though, since Rith has to get through to make more tokens anyway. I mostly use Hazezon as a repeatable, increasing-cost sorcery to make a crapload of tokens, which lets me reliably have a presence.

I run a motherload of ramp effects, my favorites being Perilous Forays and Boundless Realms. I previously had more means of sacrificing him, but now I use High Market and Miren, the Moaning Well along with a few Tutors (Expedition Map, Sylvan Scrying and Reap and Sow, specifically).

Wow this card is actually a powerhouse. When it hits the field can produce at least 7 1/1s, 1 glorious anthem effect and opponent is in deep trouble.

But one drawback to him. The tokens dont come out until next upkeep and have summoning sickness, so it will be 2 turns before you can attack.

A weird part about him, is that if he is removed before the tokens come, the tokens will still spawn. And they will no longer have the option to remove him and take out the tokens.

If magic had a movie, this guy would be played by Liam Neeson.

Richard Kane-Furgeson is an amazing artist. This card has some playability, if only you got those tokens that turn...

If you can flicker, bounce, or otherwise play this guy multiple times in a turn, do you trigger his first ability that many times? If so, I think I've found my new best friend.

Less horrible than the other legends in the block. Not by much, though.
