The flavor is that the legends become compelled to wage battle against each other in the arena for honor.

I see a potential combo with Leyline of Singularity. Other than that, I don't see much use for this outside of EDH or Legends block.

Browsing through cards for my 
EDH deck and saw this and laughed. Doesn't fit the theme of the deck but it's a great card to drop just to control the flow of the game.

Bobby Sinclair assumes everyone is stupider than him because he understands the basic concepts of synergy. The card is very good in the appropriate block or format, but not much else. The people who call a card bad usually tend to lack imagination, not skill because from my experience they are all likely net deckers. Bobby Sinclair is kinda a tool.
