I use this guy in a Black Blue deck with Royal Assassin and Whispersilk Cloak. Nothing quite like hitting with at least six nigh-unstoppable damage and killing something without a fight at the same time.

@TheWrathOfShane -

a 6/6 for 6 that taps& locks down significant permanents every turn AND can't be hit with anything targeted would NOT be broken? Really?

This guy is actually pretty perfect balance wise. Left unchecked, he can cause a soft lock on all the opponent's plans, or at least slow them down significantly, and that 6 power won't feel nice. His 6-toughness body is very hard for most creatures to get rid of, especially without help (meaning two-or-more-for-one). And even if they do try to gang up, his ability to tap when he attacks means he can tap down the most significant blockers. And while he can be dealt with via removal - almost has to be, really - he makes them invest pretty heavily to do so. That's excellent value for 6 mana.

If he had shroud (or worse, super shroud!) so you couldn't target him with removal, the ONLY way to get rid of him would be board sweepers or combat, and combat would most likely require overcommitment to counter his tapping and unfair tr... (see all)

Congratulations, this is the first non-goat giant that blue has ever got.

@faisjdas: LOL! I just noticed that now! Makes you wonder what he's looking at! "Is that your backup battle-axe or are you just happy to see me?"

I think that due to his CRAZY brothers that this titan is being looked down upon, a 6/6 for 6 is pretty good value (Rare value in blue), with a dampening effect on targeting him, and a pretty cool tap ability. In limited can see him being a good creature.

In saying that, considering how sick his brothers are, and their abilities, the tap ability is not that sick that he could not have shroud, i mean consider Sphinx of Jwar Isle.

Oh well, what are we to judge magic decisions....

It's REALLY nice that he's hard to get rid of. VERY nice. If he had shroud I think he would be up to par with the rest of the Titans.

His secondary ability is pretty poor. Most removal doesn't cost that much to play, and by the time he's put out by a blue player, the opponent should have more than enough mana to get rid of him. Narcolepsy, Doom Blade, Path to Exile...even Unsummon.

Of course, thats not to say he's bad because he's weak to removal, its just that there's better blue options available for that other ability. The tapping creatures is a fun one, though.

I wouldn't say this is weaker than the other titans, per se; it's just less flamboyant.
The effect isn't nearly as flashy, doesn't mean it's less useful.
