Great, now I will forever wonder what Aaron meant to say about the Guildpact version.
This card is way OP and I hate it on that basis, but it is a very interesting creative concept. As for Planechase, I never really thought about it but Aaron's point here makes perfect sense - selling them with decks was very much the right decision, and not just a cash-grab as I had previously assumed. Although truly ideal would have been to offer both options - simultaneously sell both planes and decks for them, side-by-side but separateable.
Man, I miss Planechase. It's too bad it and Archenemy didn't really take off.

The art asks for trample, but balance says no...

@Aaron_Forsythe: Are you struggling to find something to say because Rumbling Slum has been all but obsoleted by the power creep in recent blocks?

I always like a 5/5 body on turn 4 with a meaningless drawback...

Crimson, this is far from obsolete. It has a beneficial ability, not a draw back.
Also, Izzet animated an entire district. GO IZZET!

I'm sad that I was beat to the punch for Chandra's Spitfire.
What a beast.
With five people at the table, each of your spitfires gets +12/+0 for each rumbling slum.
