Flavor text is cool and yet the cost is too high for the effect. To those who are pointing out that Rise of the hobgoblins is superior, Rise is a better card, but can't really be used in an EDH deck outside of white.

Its a solid card. For the most part though it is overshadowed by Rise of the hobgoblins . It does have a place still in Monored EDH decks.
