Twelve mana to throw out 12 damage? How about five mana and nuke the creature from orbit (just to be sure) for 13 with Shivan Meteor?

A fun addition to my Cloudpost casual deck. Every turn hit something for 12, and still have some mana left over for spells and stuff. Neat flavor too.

Turn 1 Swamp
Turn 2 Mountain + Mana Myr
Turn 3 Land + Semblance Anvil imprint an artifact
Turn 4 Land + Stuffy Doll + Phyresis
Turn 5 Land Palladium Myr + Tower of Calamities
Turn 6 Land
Tower of Calamities rules text now says ", T: Target opponent loses game."

I actually really like this card. I run it in a G/R Fireball deck. I build very "gimicky" decks as my friends would say. The deck runs 4 of Red Sun's Zenith , Fireball , Overgrown Battlement , Wall of Vines , Wall of Tanglecord , and some Eldrazi spawn token generators. That being said outside of the Fireballs the deck doesn't have much creature destruction and Wall of Tanglecord can handle a lot but anything too powerful for it to block gets swatted by the Tower. In this deck mana is no worry so dropping 8 for a 12 damage creature ping is actually not a bad exchange. Not the best deck ever built but it wins a lot.
