he's wearing grafted wargear
@ DacenOctavio:
Except for the fact that grafted wargear gives creatures +3/+2 (this guy's p/t) and the guy on the art looks exactly like this guy. Fists of the anvil gives +4/+0 and has a goblin on the art, so your example doesn't make as much sense I'm afraid.

I knew they would reprint this guy one day in a Core Set, but back then there was no M10 that made functional reprints of cards that had generous names and therefore did not belong to a storyline of a certain block. (For example Counsel of the Soratami was replaced for Divination)
I guess Wizards wants to imply with that card that we will meet the Vulshok again in Shards of Mirrodin :)

Interesting flavor text comparison to Vulshok Refugee. They're also both 3/2.

This really proves how stupidly broken BBE is/was. Same CC, same color (one of them anyhow), same PT and ability, but BBE gets Cascade. dumb. Glad to see a fair version.

@ DlCK:
No, he's wearing Fists of the Anvil obviously because they have the same artist.
Meanwhile, this guy must have had some powerthirst, because he's clearly winning at running, football, weddings, arson, and art. After powerspawning 400 babies.
