Fantastic in constructed and limited, not so great in EDH. This card is a good way to have everyone at the EDH table playing "get the arse who played it".

My personal favorite use for this thing is slapping it on an Etched Champion and following up with a Cranial Plating.
Assuming those are even the only three artifacts I control, I'm still getting a 7/4 infect with protection from every color.

This oozes flavor. "Upgrades" were always the hallmark of Phyrexians and their servants. Exoskeletal modifications were made to many characters in books, like Greven, Ertai, and others. It's great to finally see this on a card, reflected perfectly in the mechanics and the art. Well done!

Put it on Niv-Mizzet, DracoGenius. Now, you don't even have to hit your opponent with combat damage to infect them, and you get a free draw with every smack!
