@Luther_zenn 4. They don't die until state-based actions are checked right before priority is passed after resolution of the ability

Pretty sure I want to put this in my vorel of the hull clade EDH. Works very nicely with Avenger of Zendikar

I realize this is ~2 years too late...
@ Luther_Zenn
You draw 4 cards, the fact your Dusk Urchin will have -1 toughness won't matter until state based actions are checked AFTER the resolution of the ability.

one time i was playing a blue/black proliferate deck my opponent a izzet control for some reason and was drawing 1 card per turn. I had telepathy up and knew he had a act of treason i had 3 life and if i played any creature i would lose all i could rely on is the fact that i had 3 poison counters on him and i could spread -1/-1 counters like a plague so i knew i had to beat the guy with just artifacts and other spells no creatures i had -1/-1 counters to deal with his creatures with trigon of corruption and since he was drawing 1 card per tun it was pretty easy just to kill even a fire elemental with this and inexortable tide eventually this won me the game with profilerateing 3 times per turn one of my favorite wins
