Question:
It doesn't say reveal or target but when they are exiled, can I exile them face down? Darn Mimeoplasms.

I'm looking at this debating putting it sideboard in a burn deck. Occasionally you run into an Obliterator and those are quite difficult to get rid of, considering that the person playing it will be running discard as well.

You know, when Ice Age first came out, Jester's Cap became the "most annoying card in Magic". Jester's Mask was also printed in this set, but wasn't used nearly as much, taking longer to cast and activate. Prior to Ice Age, there was no way to look through your opponent's entire deck. Your library was like your sanctuary, a safe zone that the enemy could not enter. Many of us considered the effect from Jester's Cap to be a violation of privacy, a trespass of sorts. Especially when you have to allow a complete stranger to paw through your deck. It can definitely make one nervous. This effect also takes a lot of surprise out of the game, revealing the entire contents of your carefully crafted deck to your opponent. When playing casual games with strangers, it was not unusual back in the day for both players to agree to not use any "Jester" cards.
Tempest came out with an even worse annoyance, grimly called "Lobotomy", which takes a total of only... (see all)

This is all about EDH nowadays. Use it to cripple a fragile strategy before it gets going, or stall a Maelstrom Wanderer deck. I've even used it to recover my own tucked commander. So many uses, and nobody likes to see it coming.
