Besides mass hyjinx in EDH/Commander, this card has only one purpose I can see. It is the Anti-Time Sieve in Extended.
Trinisphere, Damping Matrix, and now this. Wish it also cost 3, though.

Singlehandedly stops the Sword of the Meek/Thopter Foundry deck, as well as the Krark-Clan Ironworks/ Myr Retriever(s) combos. Would really tick off Johnny, Combo Player.

Despite being in an artifact-heavy block, MBS has a ton of overcosted artifacts like this, myr turbine, phychosis crawler,knowledge pool and several others that do nothing impressive despite their mana cost.
This is awful even in Limited, it's only playable if you're light on artifacts and your opponent is heavy on them, and your deck is aggressive and non-infect.
Why do they make these kinds of cards, this card is useless in every situation, who on earth wants to open this in a booster?

This is so much better than cards at a rank of 2 stars, this is a 3 star card at least, Its an absolute beast in limited and has a tendency to go unnoticed until to late.
