This would be fun with any sort of evasion. Give it the right equipment, or just toss a Rancor on it, and the opponent is in serious trouble.

I wish it had the alternate flavor text:
"Oh come on, you were going to and you knew it" XD

Quite the beast in limited. I was only unlucky to run into decks with plenty of removal. -.-

@GraemeGunn
Except for the fact that flavor is a part of designing a card as well, and flavorfully it fits Phyrexia perfectly to "Phyrexianate" other creatures. In fact, the entire purpose of this block is Phyrexia invading and taking over Mirrodin and indoctrinating its life into Phyrexia, in case you didn't notice.
There's really no way you can argue that Blightsteel Colossus isn't Phyrexia's Darksteel Colossus.
This card strongly resembles a Razorfield Rhino and also fits with the theme of Phyrexia improving on Mirrodin's creatures (this card is a lot better than the Rhino).
Etched Monstrosity is clearly a "Phyrexianated" Etched Oracle.
Phyrexia even "Phyrexianates" its own creatures (see Phyrexian Negator and Phyrexian Obliterator).
So in short, designers actually do design cards by "Phyrexianating" them, and these cards ... (see all)

This is not how they design cards. They do not take one card, and then "Phyrexianate" it or something. Phyrexian creature cards are not "versions" of other cards.
The people designing these cards put a little more thought into it than that.
Jeez.

After pulling this guy in a draft(third pick! I don't know how he got left that long.), I can personally attest to his immense power. An odd bit of synergy I found was with Copper Carapace, since he's not going to be doing any blocking anyway, he's got nothing to lose.
Equips are an infect deck's best friend. It's incredible how well it works.
