Yes, there are ways to kill it. There literally thousands of cards in magic and not one of them is impossible to stop. Emrakul? Visara. Ulamog? Journey to Nowhere. We could play the 'but I play this game' till the end of time, but that doesn't mean this card is any less good.

I know it's not in the same block, but I like Pelakka Wurm better. Still, this wurm is awesome, wurms just keep getting cooler and cooler.

Whenever you talk about a big green bomb, this is that big green bomb.

The only problem is the lack of trample. Attacking into 0/1's could prove to be unprofitable (though if you're actually concerned about the counterattack the blocking is very profitable ^^).

It's good to run Wurms nowadays. Of the top 10 highest-rated Wurms, 5 are Standard-legal right now!

Engulfing Slagwurm is quite unreal as it can't be taken out in combat; it just swallows up whatever's in its path. This guy will be a ma.ssive limited bomb, as the only way to deal with it is to draw the right piece of removal.

It's close, but I think this might even be better than Pelakka Wurm.

What happens when he's blocked by more than one creature?
