Wizards commited to making good wurms after Pelekka. Just compare this and that other new green one that gives intimidate to everything organic within a thousand miles to the old, fat, slow and rather useless snails that once were what wurms had to offer.

@ TDL
Thicket Basilisk
This ability has almost always been exclusively green's ability, sometimes bleeding over into black.

give him trample, then he's basically unblockable, except u can still use a lure ability to wipe ur opponents board and gain a ton of life.

If its teeth are only for decoration, then why does it become so terrible when Vorinclex pulls out its teeth and turns it into a Quilled Slagwurm?

Combo this with Lure. You can gain a LOT of Life when you use this combo. Even better, also combo this with Infiltration Lens and Spellbook.

Pelakka wurm is evolving.....It evolved into Engulfing Slagwurm!
What an insane card though. The only con is it can be chump blocked all day. I prefer this card over most trample wurms.

High Ground. Why did Wizards not just give it the keywords Deathtouch, Lifelink, and First Strike? This is the single strongest argument for efficient creature removal in the game. Just as Darksteel Colossus is the single strongest argument for nondestructive removal.
