Funnily enough, I don't like it. There have been some limited environments over the years where this guy would have been an auto-include and a genuine bomb, but M12 isn't really the place. I've pulled him twice now, once in a GR deck, the other in a BR deck (which I ended up winning the draft with) - *and I didn't play him ONCE*. He's just too slow for the format, and even when you do get him out, anything with flying or reach can just chump him - that's exactly why Carnage Wurm is a better finisher, as he can't be chumped effectively.
If you managed to draft some sweet sort of control deck you might be able to include him, but in most decks you won't get enough support. Just think about the color match ups - in M12, WR, BR and UR are all aggressive color combinations. GR can be a little more defensive, but the red element makes it more aggressive than it might otherwise be.
In standard, it again is too slow, and offers no card advantage - why would you play this guy when the Titans ... (see all)

This guy was part of my Prerelease War Story, from the finals:
- My opponent drops Rune-Scarred Demon and looks for a card in his deck (presumably this one) and passes the turn.
- I pass my turn, leaving my lands and my 2/2 hexproof flyer untapped.
- He shoots me with the new Goblin Facepuncher (Goblin Fireslinger), drops Furyborn, swings with his Demon and passes the turn.
- I Turn to Frog his Demon, block and kill it, untap and Mind Control his Dragon.
- He looks really sad and starts picking up his cards.

I think I can shed some light on why people don't like this. There are two kinds of magic players (that we'll be discussing anyways):
The magic player that simply likes to have fun with awesome cards. They play at home with their friends using the awesome stuff they pull from packs to make decks. They don't care whether they win or lose, it's all about the fun of the game, and playing their favorite cards.
Then, there's the darker side of magic.
The magic player that plays to win, and nothing else. If they're not winning, they're not having fun. They spend endless hours at home putting together combo pieces to win at the tournament, and if they're not doing that, then they're looking up someone else's deck on the internet. They play a format called standard, where it's basically a 5 turn deathrace. They don't concern themselves with cards over 6CMC because if they haven't beaten you by turn 6, they're mad at their deck.
The fact of the matter is, for as long as standard is ... (see all)

Last time I checked, a 12/12 flier on turn 4 was a good thing.

If a 12/12 dragon is not the definition of Timmy awesomeness, I'm not quite sure what is.
