In limited, the card will live up to the art's promise: a kick to your opponent's junk with a fiery magic cowboy boot.

@Superllama12 - It's gaining hexproof, not shroud...you can still target it with your own spells...
@Ferlord - From my understanding of shroud, it wouldn't allow equipping via the equip cost (since it targets). Via a non-targeting ability, though, is fair game.

Superior to Lightning Greaves in that you can pump your own creature up while these are equipped.
Throw these on an Aegis Angel who's protecting a key card (such as your planeswalker) to keep anything from touching your guy short of a Day of Judgment or Oblivion Stone.

Love it. Great early-game weenie launcher. The hexproof's added gravy as well as a psychological deterrent.

While very similar to Lightning Greaves, it is both better and worse depending on your situation.
For example, I run a Jenara, Asura of War EDH deck that wins by sticking a ton of enchantments and equipment onto Jenara and winning through commander damage. I run this in that deck over Greaves because this lets me continuously put equipments and enchantments on without having to fear instant speed removal.
However, I also run a Kaalia of the Vast deck the uses Lightning Greaves and not this. I don't care about targeting Kaalia with anything other than the Greaves to begin with, so they're more helpful then the Boots because they equip for free, essentially letting me swing a turn earlier to get my big creatures for free before someone panic kills Kaalia.
In other situations, they're pretty much equal.
