How has no one pointed out how GREAT this goes with Xenograft? Look at it like this:
1.Ludevic's Test Subject
2.Xenograft (Pick human)
3.Moonmist

Perhaps one of the most set-specific cards ever printed, barring cards that destroy all other cards in their own expansion. Not bad, though extremely narrow in use. If one didn't know what Innistrad was about, this card would make absolutely no sense if you read it on its own.

Cards like this and Prey upon give werewolves a very nice flavor of powerful and skilled predators, built from the ground up to be perfect hunters. Unfortunately most actually werewolves are meh, and the reliance on few spells being played makes them inconsistent and difficult to properly use. Not to mention the only cards to follow-up with the flavor of this and prey upon are Nightfall predator and Merciless predator, the rest are kind of a dr.Jekyll / mr.Hyde feel or just "vanilla" fatties

I love this card, I don't really feel great about most of the werewolves (I find them pretty meh) but this card is a great protection and somewhat like a Day of Judgment for werewolf decks

This card bothers me for one reason. The name and art should have been swapped with Full Moon's Rise. Why is the mist turning the humans into werewolves?

Hey, it's Three Werewolf Moon!
You know, maybe they could have tried making the art a bit more different from Full Moon's Rise.

I hate how this is an absolute MUST in every werewolf deck ever. They are 100% unviable without it, if you ever want to see their backsides without spending countless turns going "land-drop, pass" and praying they've only got one spell.
