While they are strictly more expensive, I think they can work well as Burning Vengeance 5# to 8# (Assuming you have one in play).

I saw a guy at FNM play this turn 5 then turn 6 play two brimstone volleys after morbid was activated. 20 damage? screw board control...

And then I relized how funny this is when you also have curse of thirst, and curse of the peierced heart on the feild at the same time. 8 damage per turn? Yes, please! I've been able to ramp into curse of misfortunes, in my standard deck, the rest is down hill for my foe.

hmm i wonder how much damage a lightning bolt plus Gisela, Blade of Goldnight plus Furnace of Rath plus Fire servant plus Curse of Bloodletting would do?
