Guess it could be ran with Mausoleum Guard. Sac the Guard and get 2 Spirits and equip one to be a 5/3 flyer

Invisible Stalker might like this. Puts your opponent on a 4 turn clock, and that's without swords. You could even play Oculus or something to get value out of saccing.

+4/+2 Is pretty good for a standard stat boosting equipment, really, though the sacrifice makes it only usable in certain decks.
however, as always, puresteel paladin is great for making equipment with drawbacks, like this, into awesomely useful stuff.

Is Ragamander's comment correct? More specifically, are you allowed to pay the equip cost with the only creature you control, saccing that creature and letting the Hauberk fall off (or remain unattached)?
Also, are you allowed to pay the equip cost to attach to the creature it is already attached to?
I assume the answer to both is yes, but I couldn't find any rules clarifications anywhere specifically addressing these questions.
