If the only creature I control has undying, can I sacrifice it to equip the Hauberk to itself when it comes back? In other words, does the undying trigger and bring the creature back before I have to choose a target for the equip?

Hey, I was just concocting this card earlier this year... at +2/+2 for 1. Should be interesting to play with.
Well-placed in a block full of Morbid cards, of course.

Whoa, I just realized that this is Wicked Reward!
So yeah, @Silence9, this card is wicked!

So, since you technically pay costs after choosing targets, you could activate its equip ability to give the Hauberk to a creature, then sacrifice that creature to pay the equip cost.

I'm having a very difficult time understanding how that works in terms of flavor. Oh well.

With all the sacrificing and returning to the field in typical Golgari decks, this will probably see more play when Return to Ravnica rotates in.

For now, it is good in decks that rely on Morbid to be activated =)

Putting this on an Invisible Stalker is quite a threat in Limited!

Much better than said
Takes care of all things regular red spells don't reach
Along with swinging in for big dmg
Zealous or traitorous instinct are great on this card
5/5

Love this card. Equip cost does not matter in decks it would be played in. In fact it is preferable. I use it in a green/black saproling/eldrazi spawn deck. I am never disappointed to draw it. Forcing my opponent to remove a saproling and retaining my artifact to beef up another is grand.

This is an underestimated card that turns late-game arbor elves into something like a permanent colossal might. Given that it's an artifact. It's likely going to be a serious pain for your opponents to remove. 5/3 reassembling skeletons are nothing to be scoffed at.

An interesting addition to a Cartel Aristocrat deck. Besides being a reliable sacrifice outlet, it can make the Aristocrat really scary.

I'd have loved this with some extra clause interacting with Demons (or non-Demons).
