Hands down my favorite card from Innistrand.
Prior to discovering how well he worked with blue, I actually put him in a G/W deck. It had cards like Unruly Mob and Auramancer in it, so there was some method to the madness. Unshockingly, whenever Splinterfright hit the field was the only time that deck won but man were they interesting games.
My personal favorite match involved Splinterfright enchanted with a Wreath of Geists. a Trollhide, and a Lifelink. I won the game with 116 life, four cards left in my library, and a 40/40 creature. And my opponent had a Ranks of Endless Dead out. :)

This guy can be powerful, just be wary of Nihil Spellbomb and Tormod's Crypt, both can ruin your plans by eliminating your graveyard =/

Very nice in self-mill/reanimator. In a proper deck (say, with The Mimeoplasm in the lead), it can be a monster and a consistent grave-feeder. Loving the spooky art as well.

Golgari decks are now IN!
Since RTR gave us such brilliant cards as Lotleth Troll, Deathrite Shaman, and Grisly Salvage, it's entirely plausible to get a 6/6 or 7/7 beatstick on the field by turn 3 or 4!
Dump 2 or 3 creatures to Lotleth Troll, jumpstarting your graveyard count, Grisly Salvage some more creatures in there, and use Deathrite Shaman to ramp some unneeded lands in the grave into more Boneyard Wurms or Splinterfrights!
We also got Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord to feed off the resulting mill, and even as a sac engine for massive bulk damage!
5/5 for his newfound prowess in Ravnica!
EDIT: As a quick aside, let's not forget the benefit of splashing blue for a couple copies of Forbidden Alchemy and Artful Dodge! And with that, a fatties best friend is a lategame land called "Rogue's Passage"!

Sweet, another Lhurgoyf-like creature to play with. Pretty good synergy with Ghoultree, Grisly Salvage, Tracker's Instinct and a crap-ton of other stuff in Standard.

Nice design, but he would make more sense as a Black creature.

Synergizes great with the gruul's bloodrush mechanic. Uncounterable pump spell that puts a creature into the gy as well.

I have this one in a BG Varolz, the Scar-Striped scavenge aggro deck. It feeds the graveyard with more creatures to scavenge (Death's Shadow and Phyrexian Dreadnought), and trample ensures that he'll punch through if it's big enough. And when I dump a chunk of my library into my graveyard via Hermit Druid, he gets huge fast.
