Meh. The land destruction won't have an impact in most cases and ramp on turn five is too slow.

Orcish Lumberjack, Mwonvuli Acid-Moss, this, Tinder wall, and reap and sow:
Dominate an opponent via land destruction on TURN 2 while maintaining card neutrality.
Further... you can do this several times while waiting to ramp into a 5-mana fatty.

Beat face mercilessly.

It's not bad in Commander I think. There are many powerful lands played there, so that LD on turn 5 onwards is still useful. Fetching a land, regarding the slow pace of that format, also still makes sense, stabilizing your mana base a bit more and filtering the library a tiny bit.
