I'm going to put him in My Rafiq of the Many edh deck... it's knight themed (not Rafiq themed...) and this would be a really cool way to demonstrate all my knights are awesome on horseback!

I'm kind of flabbergasted that people are dunking on the awesomness of the gameplay abilities of this card. You play it and then attack with everyone else right away, and your opponent only has a Doom Blade or kicked Burst Lightning or something to save his ass. Yes, blue can do agressive decks. No, it's not a perfect card, and no, it doesn't light up the tournament scene. Oh well.

Holy shit. This is pretty amazing. It basically makes everything nigh-unblockable since there are barely any Horsemanship cards nowadays.

That's a funny way to spell "Creatures you control are unblockable".

While it is true that there were too many Alara Block Legends in the set, I have noticed, with the Power Creep of creatures and whatnot, that basically...well, a lot of the good Commanders DO come from Alara, for certain color identities. :/
3-Colors seems to be Optimal Colors for Commander. Not 2, you don't get enough variety of spells- either your games get 'stale' (very similar to each other, whether your deck is power-balanced or not), or your deck actually has vulnerabilities. Since Alara was the first block to have 3-colored Legends since....Legends..umm...Rafiq of the Many, now in 2013, I believe still deserves to be in the Vault. Kresh does not. Sharuum I am not sure of.
1., 2. An Elder Dragon, plus one other Legends Legend (not all of them are Reserved)
3. (1) ONE Portal Legend (this guy),
4.,5. 2 Weatherlight Legends (Captain Sisay and Gerard Capashen- because you HAVE to have Gerrard, I think)... (see all)

@Evil_Tactics: If they really wanted to make this set a callback to old, forgotten classics, they really ought to have dusted off one of the handful of good creatures from the original Legends set.

Drafted him once last pack in a cube draft. My deck was goblin tribal. It was epic.

Are you kidding me? Extremely obscure evasion that maybe 95% of players wouldn't prepared for before this rerelease? Yes please! I think most players would stare at you blankly if you told them your creature had horsemanship lol. On top of that he's a 4/4 so he holds up to bolts...okay granted his cmc is a little high but he will end games

@pedrodyl I disagree. The whole set is awesome for EDH and it seems to have been put together with that in mind. Sun Quan is an awesome enabler for the big game-changing attack, perfect for EDH.
