One of the best designed cards ever: it has all the characteristics of a great uncommon.
- Medium size
- Great utility ability (in this case a sort of aggro-control)
- Balanced cost
- Nice fitting artwork, name and flavor text (well, this doesn't count in the "great uncommon" characteristics, but I always care about :D).

Better than Vigilance, in some cases, since you can reuse tap abilities when opponent attacks you. In multi-player game, you may be able to tap and untap many times outside of your turn.

To those of you saying you wish it had flash:
It's a REBEL.
Overall, I like the way it works, but it's not playable under most normal circumstances. Furthermore, if you're relying on this to be able to block with your tapped dudes, you can get blown out big-time by a removal spell.
Might work well in Derevi, Empyrial Tactician EDH however. There you have the ability to untap it after combat so that its ability will still happen later on, and you get to abuse its ability with all the other {T} abilities in the deck. And you get to do it for each player at the table, making it a pretty big disincentive to swing at you.
Unlike many other cards, it has combo potential, and neat intricacies of its abilities that make it more interesting than it seems at first.
