I'm a little surprised by the low rating. Yes, there is better stuff out there but don't discount this guy. He won me games in a couple of drafts thanks to combos with nightbird's clutches and Crossway Vampires.
I would take one of these over a Neonate any day. Sure you will be attacking with it a lot, but I'd rather have the option rather than be forced to swing into a bigger blocker. This guy deserves at least a 3.5

Commander Review: tiny aggressive creatures that are ok in the early game but horrible late game ain't worth a card slot in a Commander deck. The games take too long with multiplayer and each player having 40 life, for such tiny creatures to matter.
1/5

Wow. Boring card. Boring art. Aren't Vampires supposed to be flamboyant? How can this one be so PLAIN?? There are no redeeming qualities to this card. And yet there is nothing bad. The only flaw it has is having no pros!
Man that art sucks. Ugh.

Fits in the mana curve of:
Turn 1: Stromkirk Noble
Turn 2: Bloodcrazed Neonate
Turn 3: This

The art reminds me a bit of a painting titled, "the scream" for some reason.
Cool art, nice flavor, but more expensive then Bloodcrazed Neonate, weaker than Markov Blademaster, and less tribal benefit than Rakish Heir

Haste helps it get that first hit in but it's a bit expensive for what it is. the art definately makes up for it though
