Let me get this straight - 5 mana for a 2/3?!
I understand it's blue, and that it's ability can allow it to become stronger, but it's toughness will always be at 3. A bolt or anything else will kill it dead on, and if the opponent is cruel enough, they will wait until after you've spent all your mana pumping him to use the bolt.
Bad. If you want a pump creature, use Nantuko Shade.

Seriously, one of my favourite cards!
First of all, I miss the old mirrored pairs.
Second, as a Vorthos I appreciate the synergy between art and flavor text, which is perfect here (and not in the Fifth Edition version)!
Third, I love old weirdos, and this is a 100 meters tall 2/3 with "
: +1/+0 until end of turn" for five mana; few cards are more curious than this one!
In my opinion, an unplayable card worth 5 cent and 5 stars!

@tavaritz: wouldnt this blue mage need to keep back 2 or 3 mana for a counterspell, therefore ruining the pumpability of this card? We all dont run FoW and daze
